Rsorder This kind of brings us back to the traditional God Wars

In addition to all the RuneScape mobile features we're implementing, we discovered that we needed to make something huge and exciting to bring gamers who had stopped playing. One of the ideas we decided to focus on is the Elder God Wars Dungeon, the theme with OSRS Accounts for content that's floating through the air, while we release the game on mobile as well as desktop.

This kind of brings us back to the traditional God Wars dungeon which is an extremely nostalgic piece content for many gamers. It's a good idea to have games like that in the pipeline to go live around in the same period as games for mobile. Making sure there's an amazing content available for new and existing players, as well as something that's intriguing and mysterious for those who are lapsed players is crucial. What you see in the store and think "damn I'll have to look it up."

It's part and parcel of the attraction that people return and stare and say "wow there's lots of new stuff that has changed." I believe for those returning, it's going to be fantastic and for the new players, we hope that they'll enjoy the experience, too.

You could sit back and think, "Okay, let's see the app on my phone. Once I've done that, and the download won't take much time." That means I'll come back and test it out quickly and I'm sure this kind of accessibility could give many people an incentive to get into the game and give it a second attempt. This is great, I believe.

If you are able to come back to it you'll find it quite difficult to recall what you did. I believe there's a lot that we could help those who are returning to.

We've experienced RuneScape before, and RuneScape 3 and 2. We've also been playing DarkScape and we're now getting the mobile version is coming out this summer. What's coming next? Fans will be allowed to explore their living spaces while being transported into 2001 Gelinor in virtual reality?

We've probably already done this, but only in a brief way. I can recall attending one of the first RuneFests I attended there was the VR version that could be played which was fun. It's my opinion that at the moment VR isn't something we're currently investigating. It's for me about where you can go to discover new generations of RuneScape players. We strive to find out the players we have.

It's odd, but RuneScape is one of those games that you'd like to be available from anywhere, regardless of what you're working on, and what it is you're on. We're currently exploring alternatives that will work well. There are certain issues with games such as Xbox and PlayStation with regards to controls, however with the Switch, which has been equipped with touchscreens, we've completed some groundwork too.

Nothing is guaranteed or promised However, I'd love to see it on the market. We often talk about cross-play being important, but for me, it's a game that should be played everywhere you go, regardless of what platform you're playing. Thus, nearly "platform non-agnostic" is my ideal for the future of gaming.

I'm 100% convinced that's what we're headed in the near future. I'm constantly telling the mobile team that we'll eventually grow beyond mobile teams. It could be that we'll become"The "cross-platform group" or something like that, but I'm always telling them RuneScape is an endurance race, not the same as a sprint. We've been in operation with OSRS Power Leveling for 20 years and have seen constant improvements over the last 20 years. This is getting better and we're playing on more platforms and we're working to make the game more accessible and understandable to a wider audience for the next 20 years.
